Leadbetter Golf Center

Leadbetter Academy

This is the first in a series of Golf Course reviews.

I’m starting with a look at the Leadbetter Golf Center and Academy of Central Texas.

I know it’s not a golf course, but it is such a great place that I couldn’t resist letting you know about it.

This is more than a driving range where you go to just hit golf balls.

If you are like most golfers, you want to play better golf.

One of the ways to improve is to practice to play better golf.

The golf center is located in Round Rock, TX and in close proximity to Austin,
Georgetown, Pflugerville, and surrounding area.

The facility was formerly Tejas Golf and Driving Range and is one of the best in the area.

They offer instruction, training, and practice facilities to help you become a better golfer.

The staff is very friendly and eager to help you.

Have you ever gone to the driving range, hit a bucket of balls, and toward the end of your bucket you discover something in your swing.

Since you’ve discovered a feel for your swing you want to hit more balls to groove it, but you don’t want to pay another $10- $15 for a bucket of balls.

That’s where this facility is different.

You pay an all day fee of $15 plus taxes and you are able to hit all the balls you want.

The facility has several practice areas that are all lighted and the long hitting area
has a canopy, so that you can hit balls in the shade, especially on those hot summer
days in central Texas.

The facility has four practice areas:

  1. Long Hitting Area

The long range area is very roomy and has lots of stations to hit from.
The grass is always in good shape.
There are a variety of targets that range from 50 yards out to 300 yards.

  1. Wedge Practice Area

Here is where you can work on those shots from about 100 yards and in.
Which are crucial to becoming a better golfer.
This area has target greens to hit to.

  1. Chipping/Pitching Practice Area

This area allows you to work on all types of shots around the green.
Unlike some practice facilities that has a limited distance for pitches,
this area is large enough to hit longer pitches, up to 50 yards or longer.

  1. Practice Putting Green

The putting green has different holes with lots of slope.

The Ledbetter practice facility allows you to practice your complete game.

The facility recently added a patio/sports bar area where you can relax, socialize,
watch TV, and have a beverage or some food.

If you are in the central Texas area and looking for a place to work on your golf game visit the
Leadbetter Golf Center and Academy.

Remember, all the balls you want to hit for a flat rate of $15 plus taxes.

Practice with a purpose.

Until Next Time,

Guy
